What a climb! Not for nothing is this a notorious Giro finish. From Sondrio, it is on right away. Even just outside the village, I saw a sign 35％ if you approach this climb via a side road. When you really get to high altitude, above the village of Franscia, it gets bitingly steep. Tunnels
with cobblestones gives a cooling effect, but in the descent also trembling wrists. They are straight and reasonably illuminated. At the top of the first reservoir you can go to the second reservoir, but the restaurant at the parking lot is too tempting to consider this monster as a summit. You best avoid the weekend. Then many Italians with the car on the road to here in the mountains to walk.
