Going up a mountain with wind with a cloud hanging over it is not exactly a peak experience, but that's part of it in Scotland. Besides, you only get halfway to the top by road bike. The views are beautiful, once you get out of the forest. Very nice. The climb itself is not spectacular, you shouldn't be in Scotland for that, but I was glad to get to the top. The roads are wide and the tarmac is good, so in the section you can pick up speed. Car drivers also give you plenty of room.

From Loch Morlich, this climb goes up gradually through the forest. There are tough sections in between but generally doable. At the fork in the one-way road, it opens up and you have nice views of the lake and the Aviemore area. At the top there is a large car park where walkers leave. The restaurant offers a nice view and a fireplace. The climb is well worth it if you are in the area.

A nice climb on a wide road, halfway up it becomes open and there is a nice view. Due to the hairpin bends, the descent is challenging
