Done it several times as part of the Fred Whitton Challenge, one of my favourites. A climb you can really push on and get some speed.

Comes midway through the FWC and it can be a bit attritional because it’s so exposed and although not steep (apart from a section at the start) it just drags on.

Great views across the Solway Firth to your right. On a nice day it’s a wonderful place but when it’s wet and windy, it’s a very tough climb.
