A small climb but a fun one. Moreover, this is the easy way (along with the approach via the main road) to get from Bernkastel to the beautifully located Burg Landshut (after that, you have the choice of cycling back to the car park (steep cobblestone climb) or taking the steep but scenically very beautiful descent to Bernkastel).
The climb itself starts slightly steeper after which it levels off briefly between the rocks near the chapel. This is followed by a relaxed but beautiful section with two hairpin bends uphill. Sometimes nice views of Bernkastel between the trees.
