Eerst relaxed maar zo snel mogelijk de bebouwde kom uit wat daarna wordt het een stuk mooier. Een smal asfaltweggetje klimt tussen bos en landerijen omhoog. Rechts aanhouden (nog steeds asfalt) en daarna nog eens rechts voor de uitsmijter: een keienweg die deels met beton is aangesmeerd en dus wel compleet verhard is... maar op sommige plaatsen nog hobbeliger dan een kasseienstrook. Het stukje naar de duidelijke top (mooi uitzicht over rechts) is maar kort. Daarna kan je evt. rechtsaf weer richting Vaalserquartier afdalen... maar voorzichtig want het duur even doordat je de keienweg achter je hebt gelaten.
