Beautiful but steep route. The ascent is a good 9 km long with a total gradient of +/- 900 metres. The gradients are almost always in double figures. The tarmac is perfect, i.e. fully suitable for racing bikes. At the end of the climb is the Berghaus Malbun (inn, restaurant)... read more

As you can see from my photos's, the farm at kilometre 9.5 has taken the road as pasture. I didn't dare pass those cows, so I didn't do the last 3 kilometres (I did ride the wrong way first to Berghaus Malbun, where there is a free toilet).
For the rest, it was a really fine climb AND descent with nice views over Liechtenstein and other places.

Liechtenstein.

Beautiful challenging climb. Heavy but worthwhile. The views along the way are beautiful. Rhine valley, Liechtenstein and Austria.

Mooie uitdagende klim. Zwaar maar de moeite waard. Het uitzicht onderweg is mooi. Rijndal, Liechtenstein en Oostenrijk.
