A steep start as you leave the town of Aberdare. This can be tricky as cars are usually parked blocking your lane so negotiating oncoming traffic is common and you'll most likely be squeezed. After that the gradients aren't too rough and it's not very common in the UK to get 4 hairpins in close succession so definitely worth it
