Nice way to cycle out of Bilzen as you quickly cycle from the busy centre towards the outskirts. The beginning of the climb - up to the first bend - is a bit steeper, followed by a reasonable runner. The Brugstraat is quite busy though, but it helps that there are a few twists and turns so you don't feel as much like a big connecting road. In addition, a cycle path soon appears next to the road (only the first part of the climb you have to cycle on the road). After turning right, it's immediately over with the crowds and a relaxed stretch on a quiet road follows until the end.
Leuke manier om Bilzen uit te fietsen omdat je van het drukke centrum al snel richting buitengebied fietst. Het begin van de klim - tot de eerste bocht - is iets steiler, daarna volgt een redelijke loper. De Brugstraat is wel behoorlijk druk maar het scheelt dat er enkele slingers zijn zodat je minder het gevoel van een grote verbindingsweg hebt. Daarnaast komt er al snel een fietspad naast de weg (alleen het eerste deel van de klim moet je over de weg fietsen). Na rechtsaf te zijn geslagen is het meteen over met de drukte en volgt een relaxed stukje over een rustig weggetje tot het eind.
