After 80 km in the legs and not really being the climbing type, this is a difficult hill.
It is situated on a busy road with the well-known concrete slabs, so not really top road surface but there is worse in our little Belgian country.
Na 80 km in de benen en ook niet echt het klimtype te zijn is dit toch een lastig heuveltje.
Het is gelegen op een drukke baan met de welgekende betonplaten, dus niet echt topwegdek maar er bestaat slechter in ons Belgenlandje.
Located on a (busier) connecting road between Bertem and Veltem. Like other slopes, different circumstances determine the difficulty: number of kilometres in the legs, wind direction, shape of the day, weather conditions....
Normally, you can easily ride up here, unless you have already worn yourself out on your bike ride. In those circumstances, this little pimple can feel very unpleasant. The subsequent bend near the Brusselse/Leuvensesteenweg will then give you the jolt!
Gelegen op een (drukkere) verbindingsweg tussen Bertem en Veltem. Zoals andere hellingen bepalen verschillende omstandigheden de zwaarte ervan: aantal kilometers in de benen, windrichting, vorm van de dag, weersomstandigheden....
Normaal gezien rijd je hier vlot naar boven, tenzij je je op je fietstocht al compleet hebt kapotgereden. In die omstandigheden kan dit puistje enorm vervelend aanvoelen. Het latere knikje vlakbij de Brusselse/Leuvensesteenweg zal je dan het nekschot geven!
