Carried out on 17 June 2023.
Before accessing the route detailed on the ClimbFinder profile you have to climb the first 7km of the Col de La Madeleine on the Tarentaise side, which increases the length and gradient: 13.8km 1055M gradient and 7.7% average.
We were surprised because the road is in excellent condition right up to the finish, with only a gutter crossing it in the last 2km.
It's advisable to set off cool in the morning as it's quite hot in some places that aren't in the shade.
The profile is fairly accurate, reflecting the difficulty of the last 6 km.
The final stretch ends at a path accessible only by mountain bike or gravel bike and the views are magnificent, with Mont Blanc visible on a clear day.
