Indeed busy road and bad bike path. Personally I always try to avoid it and ride along the nicer, quieter but still challenging Heurbeek - Langeveldweg - Tombestraat - Herendaal to end up in Pellenberg (follow the junctions).
Inderdaad drukke baan en slecht fietspad. Zelf probeer ik deze altijd te vermijden en rond te rijden langs de leukere, rustigere maar nog steeds uitdagende Heurbeek - Langeveldweg - Tombestraat - Herendaal om in Pellenberg terecht te komen (volg de knooppunten).
Quite a busy track, but nevertheless a climb that can surprise you. Towards the end, it keeps on climbing forever and if there's a wind, you can come to a complete standstill after a long ride. Nevertheless I recommend other climbs in the area.
Nogal drukke baan, maar niettemin een klim waar je je op kan verkijken. Naar het einde toe blijft het oneindig lang doorstijgen en als er wind opsteekt kan je hier na een lange rit nog compleet stilvallen. Desalniettemin raad ik andere klimmetjes in de buurt aan.
One of the lesser climbs in the Hageland. The start to the village center of Lubbeek is going up reasonably well but the compulsory bike path is in pretty bad shape and then you have to cross the roundabout where it is very busy straight ahead. When the road is wet, there is a lot of splashing water.
I usually ride on the roundabout down and where the road bends to the right I go straight on and then you have a nice climb and especially smaller quiet roads with beautiful views.
The original route as indicated here I really don't like and much too busy.
Eén van de mindere beklimmingen in het Hageland . Het begin naar het dorpscentrum van Lubbeek loopt redelijk goed omhoog maar de verplichte fietsweg is in tamelijk slechte staat en dan moet je over het rondpunt waar het zeer druk is rechtdoor waar de weg er slecht bijligt en het ook druk is. Als het nat op het wegdek is krijg je veel opspattend water.
Ik rij gewoonlijk op het rondpunt naar beneden en waar de weg naar rechts buigt ga ik rechtdoor en dan heb je daar ook een leuk klimmetje en vooral kleinere rustige wegen met ook mooie verzichten .
De originele route zoals hier aangegeven vind ik echt niet leuk en veel te drukke baan.
