From Hastière-Lavaux, you follow the N915 all the way until you reach the N97 in Anthée. It is a long, fairly even climb and the road surface is decent. On sunny weekends, it can be crowded here (especially motorcyclists). The road winds through a wooded valley, past hamlets like Maurane and Miaovoye. After turning to the latter village, you will discern a majestic castle on the left through the trees (it is inhabited and cannot be visited). After about five kilometres, the road turns out of the forest and becomes equally steep. With the shelter of the trees gone, the wind can make things difficult here!
