It's a long, gentle climb that's actually quite monotonous, starting in the town of Braine-le-Comte itself and finishing in the forest. Only the very end is steep, which can be avoided by turning off towards the "Point du Jour", further into the heart of the Houssière wood.

The road is wide and quite busy at times, with vehicles travelling at high speeds, so take care. At other times, it can be completely deserted.
