I don't know why, but I just love this climb. Maybe it's because this was the first big climb (I did the Grosse Scheidegg just after so all in all it was a big climb) with the first real hairpin I rode. I had just gotten a bike from HasliBike in Innertkirchen. The views are great and the hairpins is beautiful. The only downside is the many cars, because it's a main road coming down from both the Grimsel and Sustenpass. I still think you should do this for the hairpins and views.

Suppose you are staying in Meiringen. And suppose you are doing the famous round Grimsel-Furka-Susten one day. Then, after all those altimeters, you also get to cross this rock to get to your accommodation. There are tougher climbs even in the Netherlands, but oh after such'a round I really went up this one on the coffee grinder with the lowest speed. While it is quite a nice climb: some nice hairpin turns in a forest. Unfortunately a busy road though.
