Without Climbfinder, I probably would never have found this climb. A hidden gem indeed! Yet there is a lot of cycling. On closer look, this is only logical since the National Cycle Route 6 takes you over the Beversberg. In the beginning, you have to work hard in still boring surroundings. But once you enter the Knibusweg and leave the built-up area, you are treated to exceptionally beautiful surroundings. What an unexpectedly beautiful climb.
Zonder Climbfinder had ik deze klim waarschijnlijk nooit gevonden. Met recht een verborgen juweeltje! Toch wordt er veel gefietst. Nader bezien ook wel logisch omdat de Landelijke Fietsroute 6 je over de Beversberg voert. In het begin mag je gelijk lekker aan de bak in een nog saaie omgeving. Maar als je de Knibusweg inrijdt en de bebouwde kom verlaat word je getrakteerd op een bijzonder mooie omgeving. Wat een onverwacht mooie klim.

Top alternatief voor de rijksweg en Ingbergracht, vanuit Gulpen. Ik fietste deze twee al te vaak op en ben blij om erachter te komen dat dit alternatief bestaat. Misschien wel de mooiste weg omhoog, doordat je zonder verkeer door de velden heen rijdt.
Delicious and varied climb with beautiful views. From the center of Gulpen you get immediately a tough slope for you to choose. Through a small suburb you go via a small road (forbidden for cars's but unfortunately I did see a big camper) into the countryside where the percentages vary continuously. Halfway you pass the ruin of the in 1941 bombed farm Heezel (with monument).
Watch out for descending cyclists (especially e-bikers coming from the Keutenberg). Because the road was dirty because of the rain, they drove on the left side in front of them... And they were not really inclined to go to the side.
Heerlijke en gevarieerde klim met fraaie uitzichten. vanuit het centrum van Gulpen krijg je meteen een pittige helling voor je kiezen. Via een klein buitenwijkje ga je via een klein weggetje (verboden voor auto's maar helaas kwam ik wel een forse camper tegen) het buitengebied in waar de percentages continue variëren. Halverwege kom je langs de ruïne van de in 1941 gebombardeerde boerderij Heezel (met monumentje).
Oppassen voor afdalende fietsers (vooral e-bikers die vanaf de Keutenberg komen). Omdat de weg vies was vanwege de regen reden ze voor hun aan de linkerkant... en ze waren niet echt genegen aan de kant te gaan.

Very nice hidden climb, behind a neighborhood in Gulpen. Narrow and a real 'hollow road'. Recommended!!!!
Hele leuke verborgen klim, achterin een wijkje in Gulpen. Smal en een echte 'holleweg'. Aanrader!!!!
