De omgeving maakt echter veel goed want je rijdt door een fraai natuurgebied met soms uitzicht op heidevelden. Vrijliggend fietspad met grotendeels goed asfalt (net voor de klim is er even een slechter stukje) en de weg er naast is niet druk.
