The gradient is really vertiginous on the cobbled section! I think it goes well above the 21% indicated on the profile.
The said cobbles, that said, are very regular. The real difficulty therefore comes from the incredible steepness of this passage and its narrowness. You won't be able to zigzag to reduce the gradient, nor will you be able to climb two abreast. You might as well know that in advance...
