Carried out on May 3, 2021, the day of the lifting of the limitation to R10 from home.
Very beautiful ascent, calm in a green landscape but the problem is the state of the road which passes from good to average then bad to very bad with the approach of the final point.
Be careful in the summer to do it in the morning because it's hard in the afternoon and there are many unshaded parts.
The Climfinder graph is fairly representative of the terrain even if my GPS indicated a fairly long and very steep section before the hamlet of Villard with % between 14-15-16 and even 20 %
A little after the exit of Villard we enter the forest and it blossoms good Pine, the road is in places heavily damaged to the point of mud and landslides because not maintained, the slope is a little less sustained and a slight descent will allow to recover before the final ascent of Bénétant.
Don't just stop at the sign, go through the hamlet as there is still 100-200M of tarmac to reach the end in a postcard setting.
Be careful on the descent because it shakes. Have a good ride.

Bonne ballade.
