A very uneven climb, with lots of changes in gradient. Overall, most of the climbing is at a moderate gradient. However, there are some very steep sections near the top. Make sure to look back down the valley for the incredible views. Recommend taking the Bealach Ratagan from Shiel Bridge using the turntable ferry (during summer months) then taking the bridge back. These two climbs are harder going in this direction, with easier descents.... read more

A very uneven climb, with lots of changes in gradient. Overall, most of the climbing is at a moderate gradient. However, there are some very steep sections near the top. Make sure to look back down the valley for the incredible views. Recommend taking the Bealach Ratagan from Shiel Bridge using the turntable ferry (during summer months) then taking the bridge back.
