Did this climb as part of a winter club ride. The surface was alright by English road standard, nothing amazing. Some crud on the road but to be expected after the wet weather. Starts off pretty inviting but it certainly ramps up towards the end, it was quite the grind on my 34/28 gearing set up. Quite a nice challenge to do though, I would do again. There's a clearing at the top to catch your breath and have a snack.
