Halfway down the main road from St. Geertruid to Mheer you have the turnoff to Banholt. Just before you take the exit, the main road starts to rise and the climb starts. After crossing, the first part is false flat. After the right turn, you get the start of a line of trees on the left shortly afterwards. From there you get the steepest part of the climb in front of your wheels. Towards the first houses of Banholt it flattens out and you have reached the top. If you keep right at the junction at the end, the climb immediately follows on the Dalestraat.

Na het oversteken is het eerste stuk vals plat. Na de bocht naar rechts krijg je kort daarna links het begin van een bomenrij. Vanaf dat punt krijg je het steilste deel van de klim voor de wielen. Richting de eerste huizen van Banholt vlakt het af en heb je de top bereikte. Hou je aan het einde op de splitsing rechts aan dan volgt daar gelijk de klim van de Dalestraat.

Je rijdt hier in een prachtige glooiende omgeving. Langzaam maar zeker wordt het steeds wat zwaarder. Hoe steiler het wordt hoe mooier je door een klein dalletje omhoog rijdt. Zodra Banholt in zicht komt begint het af te vlakken.

Mooie klim vanuit een dal schuin omhoog tegen een opvallende heuvel op. Je begint over een fietspad langs een doorgaande weg maar slaat al spoedig linksaf (hier even opletten bij het oversteken). Even een stukje afdalen en iets verder een bocht naar rechts. Vanaf hier gaat het in een grote bocht om de heuvel heen waarbij de weg lekker maar niet zwaar stijgt en je via een fraai zijdal naar de bebouwde kom van Banholt fietst. Mooie omgeving en goed asfalt.
