When I just started cycling I regularly rode up this one because I didn't yet dare to head straight for the Flemish Ardennes. In that respect it is an ideal climb: you will never break down on it, but it is steep enough that you still have to put a bit of tension on your legs. I wouldn't really call it beautiful because you are riding in a residential area, but the descent towards Burst along the Kampenheuvel is!
Toen ik net begon met fietsen reed ik deze regelmatig naar boven omdat ik nog niet meteen richting Vlaamse Ardennen durfde. Wat dat betreft is het een ideale klim: je gaat er nooit op stukgaan, maar hij is steil genoeg om toch een beetje spanning op de benen te moeten zetten. Echt mooi zou ik hem wel niet noemen doordat je in een woonwijk rijdt, maar de afdaling richting Burst langs de Kampenheuvel is dat dan weer wel!
