Nice bike path separated from the road. Also amazing that you can cycle among the trees like this in Brussels. Definitely not the toughest climb but still recommended.
Mooi fietspad dat gescheiden is van de weg. Ook verwonderlijk dat je in Brussel zo tussen de bomen kunt fietsen. Zeker niet de zwaarste beklimming maar toch een aanrader.
The Van Praetlaan has become famous for being the arrival point in the Tour de France 2019. It is a pleasant slope on a nice cycle path that is separated from the busy car traffic. Due to the large amount of trees, this looks like you are not cycling in Brussels.
De Van Praetlaan is bekend geworden door als aankomstplaats te fungeren in de Tour de France 2019. Het is een aangename helling op een mooi fietspad dat afgescheiden is van het drukke autoverkeer. Door de grote hoeveelheid aan bomen lijkt dit alsof je niet in Brussel aan het fietsen bent.
A very smooth and pleasant climb through the trees. It's not so often in Brussels that a bike path is as well laid out as this one.
The 'Green Walk' in Brussels passes through this hillside, but makes a few unnecessary detours on the nearby dirt roads. It is better not to follow the signs of this walk and to stay on the cycle path.
Montée très roulante et agréable au milieu des arbres. Ce n'est pas si fréquent à Bruxelles qu'une piste cyclable soit aussi bien tracée que celle-là.
La « Promenade verte » de Bruxelles passe par cette côte, mais fait quelques détours parfaitement inutiles sur les petits chemins en terre voisins. Il vaut bien mieux ne pas suivre le balisage de cette promenade et rester sur la piste cyclable.
Nice to drive out of Brussels between the trees. However, it is completely different during the BXL Tour where the motorway is closed and you have to work hard after 30km of racing. Either try to keep up or break away from the peloton. And then it hurts
Leuk tussen de bomen brussel buiten rijden. Echter helemaal anders tijdens BXL Tour waarbij de autobaan is afgesloten en je hier na 30km racen nog vol aan de bak moet. Ofwel nog proberen volgeb ofwel demareren uit peloton. En dan doet ie pijn
Nice bike path in the green, next to the Royal Park. The bike path is separated from the busy road, so it doesn't bother you too much. Probably the nicest way to get out of Brussels and head north.
Leuk fietspad in het groen, naast het Koninklijk park. Het fietspad ligt afgescheiden van de drukke weg dus veel last heb je er niet van. Wellicht de leukste manier om Brussel buiten te rijden richting het noorden.
