Unspectacular false flat climb on the boring through road from the built-up area of Bocholtz to the Dutch/German industrial estate Avantis. Road is fine if you want to go to the south side of Heerlen or further into Germany via Horbach, though.
Niet spectaculaire vals plat klim over de saaie doorgaande weg vanuit de bebouwde kom van Bocholtz naar het Nederlands/Duits industrieterrein Avantis. Weg is wel prima te gebruiken als je naar de zuidkant van Heerlen of via Horbach verder Duitsland in wilt gaan.
Not really worth mentioning except that it is a convenient connection road from Bocholtz to Kerkrade. Yet you feel the slope somewhat. Bicycle path between Bocholtz and the viaduct is in bad shape and before the viaduct you have to go to the left side where there is a good double bicycle path. In the descent (you notice that too) the left-right swing in Bocholtz is nice.
Niet echt noemenswaardig behalve dat het een handige verbindingsweg van Bocholtz richting Kerkrade is. Toch voel je de helling wel enigszins. Fietspad tussen Bocholtz en het viaduct is in slechte staat en voor het viaduct moet je ook naar de linkerkant waar dan een goed dubbel fietspad ligt. In de afdaling (ook dat merk je wel) is de links-rechts-slinger in Bocholtz wel lekker.
