Whether you attack it to set a PB, or select it for hill reps is a superb climb.
At 4% the whole way, this climb looks boring on the map. But for tester efforts, racing up with friends, or to get into the Chilterns avoiding the steeper adjacent climbs, this is a great climb. While the road is relatively major, with three lanes in places, the traffic is relatively light. Having been replaced by the M40 which runs parallel, this climb is well surfaced with lots of space but low traffic levels. It is especially beautiful in autumn when the leaves turn.
