Aston Hill from Lewknor

At first glance this looks like a hill not to bother with, however I would recommend it.
it's a nice constant gentle gradient but due to it's length it can get the heart rate up. it's like a very small scale European climb as it has a twits and turns in the road. The road is the A40 but most traffic is on the M40 so traffic is light. Also it has 2 lanes going up the hill most of the way so traffic can pass with ease. 

Whether you attack it to set a PB, or select it for hill reps is a superb climb.

At 4％ the whole way, this climb looks boring on the map. But for tester efforts, racing up with friends, or to get into the Chilterns avoiding the steeper adjacent climbs, this is a great climb. While the road is relatively major, with three lanes in places, the traffic is relatively light. Having been replaced by the M40 which runs parallel, this climb is well surfaced with lots of space but low traffic levels. It is especially beautiful in autumn when the leaves turn.
