This one could be ugly disappointing. The climb itself is not too bad, in two steps out of the valley and never gets super steep, tarmac is reasonable. On levelling off, however, you come to a relatively wide concrete track where the only thing to break the wind is the Arbre de justice. If the wind comes from the wrong side, you can die twice more in the second part. By the way, the destination, l'arbre de justice has an almost magical appeal. Five roads converge here at a roundabout with a lone tree and otherwise just a desolate plain with views everywhere. By the way, I strongly advise against driving on the left towards Villeroux. There you will find 2km of the worst cobblestones you can find outside northern France.
