A climb on a very quiet two-way bike path (on the left side of the busy road) with perfect tarmac. The route runs through forest so there is little view (until you get over the top). The climb starts at the side road that starts at the bottom of the viaduct. Here is the bike path already on the left and because you keep to the left you don't have to bother with traffic lights, and the climb then immediately starts with a nice little slope. The climb via Stich is nicer in terms of scenery, but via Am Hohenstein you can go up without being disturbed (except for the noise).
