El nivel de tráfico no es muy alto y es una subida que permite hacer rutas circulares que tienen el embalse de Alloz como punto de unión.
Hace 2 años, un incendio devastó prácticamente toda la vegetación de la parte inicial de la subida dejando un panorama desolador que poco a poco se va a recuperando.
A tener en cuenta también el viento, que cuando sopla, lo hace con bastante fuerza y si nos da de cara, añade más dificultad que las propias rampas del puerto.
