The first stretch is very relaxed along a small river. Some people picnicking here and there, but no one else. You start wondering when the climb will start, but that becomes clear as soon as you cross the river and the road goes up in 4 hairpins. I was unlucky that they were resurfacing that stretch when I passed, so the old tarmac had been removed, but the new tarmac had not yet been put in. So I had to ride over dust and gravel up those 4 steep bends. After that it gets a bit less steep, but for my legs that didn't really matter anymore.
At the top there is nothing else, except the side road to the village of Fanlo.
