In order to avoid the climb on the busy road from Eupen to Barraque Michel, you can take this climb. Steep in the beginning, then easy pedalling in residential area. After 600m you come back on the N road.
N. B. For the enjoyers. When you come on the N68, after half a km, you better turn right on the forest road Route du Trou du Loup and take an alternative, much nicer, quiet climbing route to Barraque Michel. Especially the one from Lac de Gileppe is beautiful.
Om even de klim op drukke weg vanuit Eupen naar Barraque Michel te vermijden, kun je dit klimmetje meepakken. Steil in het begin, daarna rustig trappen in woonwijk. Je komt na 600m. weer terug op de N weg.
N. B. Voor de genieters. Op de N68 gekomen, kun je na een halve km beter rechts de bosweg Route du Trou du Loup inslaan om dan een stuk verderop alternatieve, veel mooiere, rustige klimroutes naar Barraque Michel te nemen. Vooral die vanaf het Lac de Gileppe is fraai.
A road that somewhat cuts off the bend in the main road to Baraque Michel and you can feel it because in the beginning it goes up really steeply. Until just after the bend, the pedalling continues, after which the percentages drop considerably. What follows is a nice and slightly winding road through a residential area, with sometimes poor tarmac. Just before the main road you can see the slope increase until just before the T-junction (which is clear).
Een weggetje dat de bocht in de hoofdweg naar Baraque Michel enigszins afsnijdt en dat voel je want in het begin gaat het echt steil omhoog. Tot net na de bocht is het daarna doortrappen waarna de percentages flink afnemen. Wat volgt is een leuk en licht slingerend weggetje door een groene villawijk, wel met soms matig asfalt. Vlak voor de hoofdweg zie je de helling nog even toenemen tot vlak voor de T-splitsing (die verder goed overzichtelijk is).
