This ascent from the Leuktal valley is a good way to reach the nearby Moselle valley via the Saargau. We start at the hiking car park on the Leuk. The first few metres are fairly flat. After the hairpin bend, the route becomes a little steeper. Up to the beautiful village of Faha, everything runs evenly at 3 to 4％. You can really make metres here. The Altenberg is somewhat hidden. Cycle past the community centre and turn right "Zum Altenberg". After the Mariengrotte grotto, continue straight ahead after a left-hand bend. This is a dead end for racing drivers. The Altenberg is located in a maize field. Via Sinz you quickly reach Remich on the Moselle.
Dieser Anstieg aus dem Leuktal eignet sich, um über den Saargau ins nahe Moseltal zu kommen. Wir starten an dem Wanderparklatz an der Leuk. Die ersten Meter sind recht flach. Nach der Serpentine geht es etwas steiler voran. Bis ins schöne Dörfchen Faha verläuft alles gleichmäßig, bei 3 bis 4％. Hier kann man richtig Meter machen. Der Altenberg liegt etwas versteckt. Man fährt am Bürgerhaus vorbei und biegt rechts "Zum Altenberg" ab. Nach der Mariengrotte geht es nach einer Linkskurve weiter gerade aus. Für Rennfahrer ist es eine Sackgasse. Der Altenberg liegt in einem Maisfeld. Über Sinz ist man dann recht schnell bei Remich an der Mosel.
