The road surface up to Vilaplana is fine, on this section it is slightly busier (though still quite quiet). From Vilaplana onwards, the road surface is good and there is very little traffic. This climb is popular with Spanish cyclists.

The Alt de la Mussara is a beautiful climb that you really should not miss. The climb takes you through a pine forest without getting really steep. Don't underestimate the difficulty of the climb because it is almost 16 km long. Along the way you are regularly treated to views that are increasingly beautiful and spectacular. Especially for lovers of hairpin bends, this climb treats the rider to a whole bunch. The climb is very quiet, I have seen only a few cars. Yet it is a good road with a good surface. If you are in the region and you are looking for a long, not too steep climb you should definitely take this one!
