Ascent that the segment on the site does not include the last two kilometres to the Alpe car park. The total climb amounts to 11.16 km for an altitude difference of 1098 m d+ and an average gradient of 9.8%. A tough, continuous climb without the possibility of resting with stretches even over 20% and peaks at 22-23% with a decent road surface for being a consortium but a very narrow one that does not always allow crossing with the few cars that travel along it. Excellent shade throughout the route and discreet views of the valley and Varzo. It climbs up to the slopes of Monte Cistella. It can be easily tackled by bdc provided it is equipped with suitable gears (34x32 recommended for sections where 20%). Presence of a few drinking fountains along the route. There are no drinking fountains at the summit car park.
