A very satisfying climb due to the difficulty of the ascent where the first few kilometres are the hardest and it is necessary to consider that starting from Omegna before attacking it one must climb about 3 km at 6/7% A historic climb for older people given the ratios with which it had to be tackled years ago. From the summit, a beautiful view of Lake Orta... read more

Exceptional. From Alpe Colla to Alpe Cardello is the hardest part, it is really tough, but if you find a rhythm (fortunately I have a single-crown MTB...) those 200 metres of elevation gain fly by, and at that point it becomes much easier, even though it is never a joke. You travel through a very beautiful forest on a road surface that is not very good, and the view only opens up once you reach Alpe Quaggione, a privileged place for a break at the restaurant or even in the picnic and rest area, as well as for the climb to Monte Massone.
In reality, the climb to Alpe Colla starts much lower down: Omegna (290 m) and then Germagno (590 m), so additional effort is required, also because from Germagno to Alpe Colla the slopes are always extremely steep.

Eccezionale.

A tough climb from Omegna up to Valstrona, passing through Germagno and ending at Alpe Quaggione with a magnificent view of Lake Orta.
