A shortcut to the Grosse Scheidegg from Grindelwald. I started this climb with a heavy heart. Especially the kilometres past the halfway point worried me because of the monstrous profile. My fears were well-founded. After minutes of wandering around with percentages of 18 to 22, all power and speed (or rather slowness) disappeared from my legs and I had to put my foot down. A few minutes of walking, however, made me enjoy the beautiful surroundings even more. Beyond the top began the (partly unpaved) 'Panoramastrasse' which certainly has not stolen its name. Later, I learned that this is actually a MTB-climb, which I can imagine :)
Mijn vrees was gegrond.
