Bit of a strange climb. If you know the climb well and can do the descent in the ideal way and start the steep part immediately without holding back much, it's no big deal. Beetje een rare klim. Als je de klim goed kent en op de ideale manier de afdaling kan doen en direct het steil stuk aanvatten zonder veel inhouden stelt het niet veel voor. Als je hier nog nooit geweest bent is het even slikken in het begin. Maar het duurt niet lang. Zeker een mooie klim om te doen als je meer een tour touristique aan het doen bent.
Abeel Street. Short and snappy. Little known because of the deep sewer strip on the side, it's better not to send a bunch over it. If you want to do a hard ride with a steep succession of hills in the Flemish Ardennes, you have to use this street as an intermediate stage.
Abeelstraat. Kort pittig ding. Weinig gekend omdat je met de diepe rioleerstrook aan de zijkant er beter geen peloton kan oversturen. Als je een zware tocht met een stevige openvolging van hellingen in de Vlaamse Ardennen wil maken, steek je deze straat er in als tussenstuk.

Onbekende, maar heerlijke klim! Verstopt tussen de bomen in een op en top Vlaamse Ardennenlandschap maakt de klim zeer pittoresk. Bovendien zit er een heerlijk steil stuk in - volgens Wikipedia zelfs 18% - weliswaar niet lang, waardoor het profiel hierboven wat misleidend is met max 8%. Echte aanrader!
