Addition: The direction "through traffic" has now become the priority road (so it bends to the right). To enter Kerkesleutel, you still go straight ahead, but in traffic terms this has become a left turn. You do have an excellent view of any oncoming traffic from Ingber.
Aanvulling: De richting "doorgaand verkeer" is nu de voorrangsweg geworden (deze buigt dus af naar rechts). Om de Kerkesleutel in te gaan, ga je nog wel rechtdoor maar verkeerstechnisch is dit dus linksaf geworden. Je hebt hierbij wel uitstekend zicht op evt. tegemoetkomend verkeer vanuit Ingber.
A climb with a quiet (and green) approach. If you follow the main road (do not turn right into through traffic) the character changes completely: the road suddenly goes up in a residential area so you have to work hard. At the end turn right for the last altitude meters. At the top you have some views on the surrounding hills. The road surface is fine. There are some low thresholds but you notice them especially when you descend.
Alternative possibility: halfway the Kerkesleutel turn right into the Aardaker and follow this road. Then you have a flat part and in a long bend to the left there is a steep part to the top.
Een klim met een rustige (en groene) aanloop. Als je de voorrangsweg volgt (dus niet rechtsaf "doorgaand verkeer" in slaat) verandert het karakter compleet: de weg gaat ineens lekker pittig omhoog een woonwijk in zodat je even aan de bak moet. Op het eind rechtsaf voor de laatste hoogtemeters. Bovenin heb je her en der uitzicht op de omliggende heuvels. Het wegdek is prima. Wel wat lage drempels maar die merk je vooral met afdalen.
Alternatieve mogelijkheid: Halverwege de Kerkesleutel rechtsaf de Aardaker in en deze volgen. Dan heb je eerst een vlak stuk waarna in een lange bocht naar links een steil gedeelte volgt tot de top.
