Once or twice a year the Sella Ronda bike day is organised, where the route is made traffic-free. We were lucky enough to be in the neighbourhood and to be able to do the (free) counterclockwise tour in beautiful weather. The setting of the Dolomites is magnificent, the slopes are not too steep (the Pordoio is shorter than shown above) and the descents are all different and beautiful. Highly recommended!

According to many the most beautiful lap on two wheels. I am inclined to believe this. Last summer I cycled this tour from Arabba, where you immediately the fantastic Passo Pordoi with numerous hairpin bends on. In a truly stunning setting you then Passo Sella and Passo Gardena on. Ideal to warm up during a multi-day visit to the beautiful Dolomites.
