A new review because of the photos. Climb is mainly interesting for avoiding the main road and gaining some altimeters in a quiet area, but having compared it to many other climbs in this area, it's a step down.
Een nieuwe review vanwege de foto’s. Klim is voornamelijk interessant om de hoofdweg te vermijden en in een rustige omgeving wat hoogtemeters te maken, maar nu ik deze heb vergeleken met veel andere klimmen in deze buurt is het toch wel een stapje minder.
Almost all the climbs in Leersum (and this part of the Heuvelrug anyway) are at right angles to the Rijksstraatweg, but this one runs almost parallel to it and also picks up some altimeters. So a nice way to leave the Rijksstraatweg (if you ride it from Rhenen to Driebergen) for a while without doing many extra kilometres. Nice road through the forested built-up area and with good tarmac. After the highest point, a relatively steep descent back to the main road.
Bijna alle klimmen in Leersum (en sowieso dit deel van de Heuvelrug) zitten haaks op de Rijksstraatweg maar deze loopt er bijna parallel aan en pikt ook nog even wat hoogtemeters mee. Een leuke manier dus om de Rijksstraatweg (als je die rijdt van Rhenen naar Driebergen) even te verlaten zonder veel extra kilometers te maken. Mooie weg door de bosrijke bebouwde kom en met goed asfalt. Na het hoogste punt een relatief steile afdaling weer naar de hoofdweg.
